come down from there it is far to high
do you dare provoke the painters sky
time is short so hurry down

He's coming you know it all is true
redemption, forgiveness, a life that's new
scary thing is will we be ready
or will you be caught holding "nice and steady"
you must let go, you must come down
there's no more hiding there's no way around
i'm down here if you even care
just a glimpse in the vast, no reason to stare
begging you to come down from where you are
begging you to see that you're not far
from the hand of mercy the hand of scars
the hand of the sky this hand of ours
come down quick before it is too late

Have you ever thought about human emotion? How as individuals we have been given the ability to feel. Whether it be hurt, acceptance, pain, or love, we have a gift. The gift of "feeling". All the time I'm grateful to God for the fact that I can share mere emotion with Him, let Him know when I'm bothered by something or when it seems as if I'm walking on clouds. I think about this often in terms of worship, not song service worship, but in the normal tasks of everyday life. More then anything I realize our walk with Christ is not by any means based on emotion, but these sensations He gives us are a blessing to me. As I journey from here to there I like to think that I'm sharing my affection with my Creator, sharing my feelings, my emotion. Letting Him know that as humans we are constrained to only know and experience so much, we are limited, but a lot is to be said about our heart and passion and emotion. Those things make up the strongest things about us as people, what we feel, what we dream, and I want to let God know that my day to day, high to low, moment to moment life is His.
"Thank You Father for affection and the abiility to share that with those we love, and with You, the love of our lives. I appreciate all of my feelings today, whether they consist of pain or joy, Lord I am grateful. For I am alive today, I can feel. I praise You." Amen
